To Fix the U. S. Education System

Education is vital to the U. S. Economy, to each individual American, and to the U. S. culture. An undeducated population of the United States makes it impossible for us to compete favorably with other countries in the world market place, and it impoverishes our population financially and culturally. I suggest the following to fix the U. S. Education System. By the way, here I focus on grades K-12.

1. Bring God back into the class room. It is the moral basis of our society.
2. Focus students on facts, processes, and communication. This means teach only the facts as we know them, the processes of math, science, and logic, and get back to people speaking and writing in clear, concise, ENGLISH.
3. Make students read everything BUT the internet.
4. Quiz students incessantly on current events.
5. Make parents responsible and accountable for their children attending school. Keep kids off the streets and in schools.
6. Grade homework and tests for only the correct answers. Do not grade on effort.
7. Take the focus of teaching diversity and cultural interaction from the schools and place it where it belongs--in the home, in the church, and in non-school youth organizations.
8. Get rid of 2,000 plus student schools--especially in high school. 1,000 students per school is plenty. Big schools reduce parent participation, decrease student growth by limiting their participation in extra-curricular activities and swell administrative staffs greatly. Smaller schools simply promote more personalized attention by all school officials.
9. Take the responsibility for raising children and youth from the schools and place it with the parents--where it belongs.
This probably is not a complete list, but it's a good start.

You have to know when to hold them and know when to fold them. The US Education system is an off-suit 2-7 hand.

I believe the public by Dr. John Bredfeldt

I believe the public education system in the U. S. can once again achieve the greatness of the 1950's and 1960's. I am not a Neal Boortz on the public education system.

That is a rather ironic statement. The 1950's and 1960's were not high-water points for the public education system. In fact the decline of our public education system was much noted in the post-Sputnik era. Moreover, Richard Hofstadter addressed many of these failings and their origin within the Life-Adjustment Movement within one of his more famous works from the 1950's-1960's "Anti-Intellectualism in the American Life"

Please sign Newt's Drilling Petition. I have included a link to it in the below. Thank you.

my wife and I have both by Dr. John Bredfeldt

my wife and I have both already signed Newt's petition, and we have encouraged others to do the same.

you can get schools to get out of social classes and back to the basics....if we can get that done we will have won the war.

Freedom of Religion NOT Freedom from Religion

The Education system will never be fixed unless the problem is laid at the doorstep of the State and Federal Congress.

Require that all members of public office send their children to Public Elementary and High School back in their home districts.

The Education System ought to see major overhaul within 2 years once that is done.
